How to Identify a Laptop LCD Panel

A screen’s diagonal size is a starting point, not a complete replacement specification. For a reliable laptop screen enquiry, identify the exact panel version and provide photographs of the original part.

Start with the full panel label

Record the complete model code, including every suffix and revision. Keep the original label photo readable. Similar-looking codes can refer to different versions, so do not remove a suffix from your purchasing list. References such as NE160F8M-N41 and NV156FHM-N48 help our sales team locate the relevant listing.

Compare the connector and mechanical fit

Send front and rear photos, a close-up of the connector, its position and the mounting points. Confirm screen size, resolution, connector pin count, dimensions, touch or non-touch requirements and the required refresh rate. If the part label and an online specification disagree, ask us to check the exact version before ordering.

Keep the screen cable reference separate

A display cable is a separate component. Include its printed code and photographs of both ends when requesting a laptop screen cable. Cable routing, connector shape and length help distinguish versions. Do not assume a cable is included with a bare LCD panel.
